As for me and my family, we’ll worship God. Joshua 24:15b Baby, now that I've found you I can't let you go I'll build my world around you I need you so ~The Foundations Today is the last day of my posts for the devotional. I pondered what song to choose, and despite a long list of possible songs, I decided upon this song for a couple reasons. Love is the foundation for everything, love is from above, and we know what love is because of God, God working through people in your life to bless you giving you wonderful little (and sometimes BIG ) miracles...like the chance to raise your children to be good people, the chance to live life with purpose, to do the right thing because it's the right thing to do, to stand up for what you think is right, and to love as closely to the way Jesus loves as possible (He doesn't require perfection, just that you try...He'll help you and wants you to succeed ). God only asks one thing in return and that is to love Him, with all "your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind", Luke 10:27. Sometimes, we wonder how God exists when so much bad stuff happens, and we think He has turned away from us. He has never turned away, we turned away from Him. That's how it really works. We have to turn back to Him. So, I thought I would give you some insight in to why I chose this song. God is our foundation and if we worship Him, He blesses us...simply put. That doesn’t mean bad stuff isn’t going to happen, because we live in a fallen world so bad stuff is gonna happen, however God will help us through the hard times, blessing us as we go. We worship Him by how we live our lives as stated above. He also doesn't need us, but He wants us. I heard this song and thought of how it felt when I came to know the love of Jesus and how that changed everything. Alison Krauss was singing it on Pandora, but when I looked up the song origins I found out a band called The Foundations sang it originally. I loved that. So here you go, it has been a labor of love... PS: I will continue sharing old posts daily. This was just the last one I wrote last year. #Foundation #God #Jesus #Love
